A large form of meteorite will pass through the asteroid Wednesday Earth. Scientists consider it an important development for the study of astronomical phenomena. This planet, passing at a speed of 19 thousand km per hour on Wednesday, will appear after 59 years after this. The common man will not be able to see it, it can be seen only by instruments. There is a lot of curiosity among scientists as well as researchers related to science to collect information about it.
According to Dr. Shashi Bhushan Pandey, senior astronomer of Aryabhatta Observation Science and Research Institute (ARIES), the process of an asteroid passing close to the Earth on Wednesday is a major astronomical event.
Pandey reported that this meteorite known as the 1998 ORTU was discovered on the Hawaiian Islands under a program called Neet. Its process of passing through the earth is quite interesting. With this, many information related to astronomy and research material will be collected. The asteroid will pass 16 times the distance between the Earth and the Moon. Pandey told that after this the planet will come in 2079. Then it will be closest to the Earth.
Three years ago, the asteroid came extremely close to Earth
. According to Pandey, this situation has also happened before. In April 2017, an asteroid has passed very close to the Earth. So there is no need to panic. However the meteorite passing this time is passing quite far. He told that there is absolutely no possibility of it hitting the earth.
Not likely to hit the Earth
According to NASA's Center for Near-Earth Studies, on Wednesday, April 29 at 5:56 am Eastern Time will pass through the meteorite near the Earth. According to scientists it is less likely to hit the earth. The Arekibo Observatory is a National Science Foundation facility operated by the University of Central Florida. This observatory is supported by NASA's Near-Earth Object Observation Program and has been analyzing celestial bodies since the mid-90s.
According to scientists, the satellite has been classified as a potentially dangerous object, because it is more than 500 feet and falls within 7.5 million kilometers of the Earth's orbit. Therefore it can become a threat to the Earth in the future. Flavian Wendity, an expert at the Arekibo Observatory, said that in the year 2079, this meteorite will be closer to Earth 3.5 times than this year, so it is important to know its orbit properly.
Mizoram’s main opposition Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) on Monday asked the State Government to bring in and deploy more police personnel along the inter-state and international borders to relieve volunteers of village task forces.
A statement issued by the ZPM said the State Government has a total of eight police armed battalions of which one is in neighbouring Assam.
It said personnel of the remaining seven armed battalions should be deployed exclusively along the state borders with Assam, Manipur, Tripura, Myanmar and Bangladesh and should strictly follow the Centre’s guidelines while checking in and out movement of vehicles.
“The government should ask the Centre for deployment of security forces or paramilitary forces along the borders if the state police have man power crunch,” the statement signed by the party president Lalliansawta said.
Mizoram shares 284 km inter-state border with Assam, Manipur and Tripura.
It is also sandwiched between Myanmar and Bangladesh with which shares 722 km international border.
ZPM said that volunteers of village or local level task forces, who are guarding the borders, should be relieved of the arduous task.
Village or local level task forces are keeping vigil in at least 18 entry points along the Mizoram-Assam border and several entry points along the state borders with Manipur, Tripura, Myanmar and Bangladesh.
The party said all village or local level task forces should instead be allowed to guard their respective villages or localities and must thoroughly be briefed about standard of operating procedure (SOP) framed by the State Government to ensure uniform operation during lockdown.
The main opposition party also urged the people to understand the financial crisis face by the State Government and not bring burden to it.
It appealed to all concerned parents and families to send money to their children and relatives, who are stranded in different parts of the country, instead of seeking help only from the State Government.
